3 Switches Attic Riddle

You are standing in front of a room with one lightbulb inside of it.

Switch s3 is never turned on. They control three light bulbs down in the basement. After 5 minutes turn off switch s1 and turn on switch s2. There are three switches in the basement two of which are useless one is connected to a lightbulb in the attic.

The light bulb that is on is controlled by switch s2. There are three light switches up in the attic of an old house. There is a lightbulb inside a closet. The door is closed and you cannot see if the light is on or off through the door.

Check the remaining 2 light bulbs the one that is hot is controlled by switch s1. You may turn the switches any way you want to. Immediately enter the room. If it is cold.

You must determine which needs saving and remove the other two. Outside of the closet there. That is switch on 1 2 wait a minute switch off two and go to the attic and check if the bulb is on hot or cold. Each corresponds to one of the three light bulbs in the attic.
